IGF-1 LR3 is an 83-amino-acid analogue of human insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1). It contains a 13-amino-acid N-terminal extension and an arginine substitution for glutamic acid at position three. These modifications reduce its affinity for IGF-binding proteins compared with native IGF-1.
Structure: Single-chain, 83-amino-acid polypeptide
Modification: 13-amino-acid N-terminal extension with an Arg³ substitution
Molecular Weight: Approximately 9.1 kDa
Receptor Activity: IGF-1 receptor agonist
Research Focus: IGF-1 receptor signaling, cellular growth, proliferation, and protein synthesis pathways
Research Use Only: Not intended for human or veterinary use.
